should i become a truck driver?
so ive been thinking about my current career options… honestly they aren’t that great. i’ve worked at blockbuster for 3 years already… i am an assistant manager but i think ive reached my peak here as there is little upward mobility… the economy is not doing well and the video rental market is doing awful (video on demand, redbox (my mom just used one yesterday!)).
so ive been thinking about my long term prospects.. it has been a good 3 years of partying and having fun… i do not have any regrets but i feel more mature now and i need something that can provide for a family down the line.. one of the things ive been looking at is becoming a truck driver.. training for my cdl license would not be that difficult… it is kinda pricey, maybe a couple grand… but i could stay at home and just save money..
ive always loved driving and trucks… hell i got a chevy silverado in the parking lot right now.. but i really want to see the country and long haul trucking would be a great way to do it. a commercial driver’s license is my ticket to achieving just that
